This Race Called Life Story

Once upon a time, there was a young athlete yearning for success, because winning at home was everything, and success was only measured by victory.

Once, the boy was preparing for a race in his small town and two other boys were competing. A large crowd gathered to witness the sporting spectacle, and the wise old man, hearing of the boy that he too had gone far to witness.

The race seemed hot at the finish line, but of course enough, the boy dug deep and called strength and power to him. He took the winning line and was first.

The crowd was delighted, cheered and greeted the boy, and the wise man remained motionless and calm, without expressing any feeling.

Now the boy felt proud and important, he was called to the second race and two new young hopefuls came to run with the boy. The race started and of course, quite a little boy passed and finished first again.

The crowd was delighted again, they cheered and greeted the boy, the sage remained motionless and calm again, without expressing any feeling. The little boy, however, felt proud and important another career. Another Race El Niñito begged.

The wise old man stepped forward and presented a little boy with two new candidates: a frail old woman and a blind man. “What is?” asked the little boy, “This is not a race,” he exclaimed.

He started the race and the boy walked slowly, very slowly towards the finish line and crossed it. The crowd was ecstatic, and animated, and greeted the boy. The sage smiled, nodding his head.

The boy felt proud and important. “Old man, I don’t understand who the cheers of the crowd are, which one of us three?” The Little Boy asked.

The wise old man looked into the eyes of a little boy, put his hands on the boy’s shoulders, and replied in a low voice: “Little boy, you won much more in this race than in any race you have ever run and in this race the crowd Greetings because there is no winner.

What are you running for? Do you yearn for success? Is victory the only dimension for you in your life? Who are you running against? And if you always defeat everyone.

Soon, people will stop cheering you on at the end of their lives if you look back.

The question is; Who ran alongside you in this race? If they were weaker and older, did you help them cross the line? They all finished together because it was the best race they could run.

To run this race called life, but don’t forget that it doesn’t matter if you win. It is important how you run this race.
