The Farmer And His Sons Story
The farmer had five sons. They were strong and hardworking. But they always fought with each other. Sometimes they even fought. The farmer wanted his sons to stop quarreling and fighting.
He wanted them to live in peace. The simple words of advice or reprimand did not have much of an impact on these young people.
The farmer always thought about what to do to keep his sons together. One day he found the answer to a problem. Therefore, he called all his sons together. He showed them a pack of sticks and said, “I want one of you to break these sticks without separating them from the pack.”
Each of the five sons tried one after the other. They used all their strength and skill. But none of them could break the sticks.
Then the old man split the sticks and gave each of them one stick to break. They broke sticks easily. The farmer said, “One stick is weak by itself. It is durable while tied in a bundle.
Likewise, you will be strong if you are united. You will be weak if you divide. “
