The Hedge And The Vineyard Story
Once upon a time, there was a rich man who owned large wine estates. He had a young careless son who never helped him with his work. The man tried various methods to get his son to work, but all in vain.
One day this man died and the big estate passed to his stupid little son. The boy had never been to the estate and did not know how to take care of him.
One day, while walking through his vineyards, the boy saw the hedges surrounding the vineyards. He looked at them and said to himself, “These hedges are a waste of time. They don’t grow grapes. Let me cleanse them.”
The boy asked his servants to clear the hedges.
The inexperienced boy did not know that hedges should protect the vineyards from other people and animals.
One night, after he cleared the hedges, the beasts ran into his vineyard and ate all the vines. Some grapes have also been stolen by other people.
The next morning the boy was shocked to see his ruined vineyards. He realized that the hedgerows were there to protect his vineyards!
