Once upon a time, in a land not too far away, there were three little pigs. They were brothers, and they lived with their mother in a cozy little cottage.
As they grew older, their mother decided it was time for them to go out into the world and build their own homes. She warned them about the Big Bad Wolf who roamed the forest, but the little pigs were confident in their abilities to build sturdy homes.
The first little pig, named Straw, was a bit lazy. He quickly built his house out of straw, thinking it would be the easiest and fastest option. The second little pig, named Stick, was a bit more diligent. He built his house out of sticks, believing it would be stronger than straw. The third little pig, named Brick, was the most hardworking of them all. He decided to build his house out of bricks, knowing it would provide the best protection.
One day, the Big Bad Wolf came across the house made of straw. He knocked on the door and said, ‘Little pig, little pig, let me come in!’ But the first little pig refused to let him in, knowing the wolf’s intentions were not good. The wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down, leaving the first little pig homeless.
The wolf then came across the house made of sticks. Again, he knocked on the door and said, ‘Little pig, little pig, let me come in!’ The second little pig also refused to let him in, but the wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down, leaving the second little pig homeless as well.
Finally, the wolf arrived at the house made of bricks. He knocked on the door and said, ‘Little pig, little pig, let me come in!’ The third little pig refused to let him in, just like his brothers. The wolf huffed and puffed and huffed and puffed, but he couldn’t blow the house down. The brick house was too strong.
Frustrated, the Big Bad Wolf decided to climb down the chimney. But the third little pig was prepared. He had a pot of boiling water waiting for the wolf. When the wolf climbed down, he fell right into the pot and ran away, never to bother the little pigs again.
The three little pigs learned an important lesson that day. Hard work and perseverance pay off. It’s not enough to take shortcuts or cut corners. Building a strong foundation is crucial, whether it’s in constructing a house or in life.
