The Honest Woodcutter Story
Two woodcutters lived in a village near the forest. They were neighbors living next to each other. Gopal, the first lumberjack was very energetic and honest. Soma, another woodcutter, was a lazy and mean man. Both made a living chopping firewood in the nearby forests. One morning, as usual, Gopal went to work. Soma always put off his work.
Soma led a miserable life because he was not ready to work hard. Gopal went into the forest and looked out for the forest. He searched for firewood for a long time, but did not find firewood, so he decided to go to the river bank, where he would get firewood. So Gopal went to the river. There he found a large tree.
Gopal climbed a tree and started chopping wood. As he was chopping, the ax slipped from his hand and fell into the river. God was very pleased with his honesty and gave all three axes as a reward for his honesty. Gopal gladly went to his house with three axes. When he crossed Soma’s house, Soma saw the axes and was stunned. Soma was curious to know what had happened.
So, unbeknownst to Gopal, Soma followed him. Gopal got home and called her wife. She came there and saw the axes. She was surprised. Gopal explained how God appeared and gave him the axes. Soma, who heard all this from the outside, decided to follow Gopal the next day.
The next day, Gopal sold the golden ax and began a new happy life. Despite the fact that he became rich, Gopal went to work as usual. Soma followed Gopal into the forest. Gopal went to the river and began his work. Soma found out about the place where his ax had slipped. He waited for Gopal to leave.
