The Angler and the Salmon Story
One day a fisherman was fishing on the bank of a river. His fishing hook was very thin and was intended only for catching small fish. That day he sat for many hours, but did not catch a single fish. He thought, “That was a bad day for me.”
I couldn’t catch a single fish! I must go home”. As soon as he thought about returning home, a large salmon fell into his bait. The fisherman thought- well, the catch is big, but there is no sense! Pulling it out would mean breaking my thin rod.
Oh, what am I to do now?
The angler did not panic and remained very calm. Then he thought, “If I’m careful and patient with my fishing hook, I can catch this fish!”
The Angler then turned the hook with great care and finally pulled the salmon out. The salmon could not free itself from the thin hook because it was very tired.
The angler was very pleased with his catch and returned home with salmon.
