The Cormorant And The Fish Story
The old cormorant lived by the pond. His eyes became weak and he could not easily spot his prey. The cormorant began to make plans to satisfy his daily need for food.
One day he saw a fish swimming on the surface of a pond. The cormorant called him and said, “Dear friend, the fishermen will come here in a week to catch all the fish. You must warn your brothers immediately.”
The fish quickly swam up to her brothers and told them the news. All the fish in the pond were worried. They approached the cormorant and asked him for help.
The cormorant told them that he had found a shallow pond near his house. Since not a single fisherman knew about the pond, all the fish could stay there. Cormorant offered to take the fish to the new pond one at a time.
All the fish agreed, happily.
The cunning cormorant took the fish to a shallow pool of water where he could easily see to the bottom of the pool. There he caught them every day to satisfy his hunger.
